Artist's Description
A photograph of the Palm House and pond, at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, London, UK. The Palm House was designed by Decimus Burton and Nicole Burton, and was the first building to use large-scale structural wrought iron. It was built between 1844 and 1848, and today is an iconic Victorian glasshouse, featuring a rainforest climate inside which supports a unique collection of tropical plants from some of the most threatened environments on Earth. At christmas, the Palm House features prominently in Kew's christmas lights display.
