Frankfurt, officially known as Frankfurt am Main, is the largest city of the German federal state of Hesse, and a global hub for commerce, culture, education, tourism and transportation. It is the site of many global and European corporate headquarter, hence the number of high rise buildings in the photograph. The original colour photograph has paint effects added to give a photoart style of presentation.

Philip Preston is a self taught photographer and digital artist. He became interested in photography during his teenage years after purchasing a Zenith fully manual SLR camera in the 1970s, primarily doing black and white work, developing his own films and producing prints in a makeshift darkroom in his parents bathroom! His first published print was in a 1978 edition of Ashai Pentax Photography magazine, featuring a portrait of a photogenic elderly man. Since then, his photography has continued over the years as a leisure interest, and his work has been published in a variety of UK photography magazines: namely Practical Photography, Camera Weekly, Photography, Digital Photo, Digital Photo...
