A photograph by Philip Preston, with added paint effects, of people crossing the Millenium Bridge with the iconic dome of St Paul's Cathedral in the background, London, UK. The bridge is often busy with people crossing the river Thames, and the added colours of sunset made a pleasing composition. The impressionistic paint effect also helps with a sense of movement of the people walking by.

He became interested in photography during his teenage years after purchasing a Zenith fully manual SLR camera in the 1970s, primarily doing black and white work, developing his own films and producing prints in a makeshift darkroom in his parents bathroom! His first published print was in a 1978 edition of Ashai Pentax Photography magazine, featuring a portrait of a photogenic elderly man.
