A photograph by Philip Preston of wooden sea defences (aka groynes) at Cart Gap, near Happisburgh on the Norfolk coast, East Anglia, UK. The photograph uses long exposure photography to smooth out movements of sea water against the wooden structure, and has been cropped to a 16x9 panoramic format.
About Philip Preston

He became interested in photography during his teenage years after purchasing a Zenith fully manual SLR camera in the 1970s, primarily doing black and white work, developing his own films and producing prints in a makeshift darkroom in his parents bathroom! His first published print was in 1978 for an edition of Ashai Pentax Photography magazine, featuring a portrait of an elderly man.
