A photograph by Philip Preston of the Palace of the Arts Reina Sofia building, an opera house and concert building which is part of the City of Arts and Sciences complex, Valencia, Spain. The building was designed by Valencia born and internationally known architect, Santiago Calatrava, and opened in October 2005.

He became interested in photography during his teenage years after purchasing a Zenith fully manual SLR camera in the 1970s, primarily doing black and white work, developing his own films and producing prints in a makeshift darkroom in his parents bathroom! His first published print was in a 1978 edition of Ashai Pentax Photography magazine, featuring a portrait of a photogenic elderly man.
