Description
A photograph by Philip Preston of Upper Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon near Page, Arizona, USA, on land owned by the Navajo nation. The sandstone canyon walls have been eroded away primarily by flash flooding water over many, many years forming beautiful intricate patterns with light beams from above. The Navajo name for this Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní, which translates to 'the place where water runs through rocks'. This image shows a small close up section of the canyon walls in monochrome, with added digital art effects to convey the mystery of Navajo spirits.
