Description
A photograph by Philip Preston of glacial bolder's known as the Norber Erratics at Ingleborough, Yorkshire Dales National Park, North Yorkshire, UK. The Erratics are massive sandstone and slate Silurian boulders carried to their location by a glacial ice sheet, and deposited on the limestone shelf when glaciers melted at the end of the last ice age, between 12,000 and 17,000 years ago.
