Description
The Warsaw Supreme Court building was constructed in 1997-1999, and harkens back to the original shape of Krasiński Palace. The building exterior is made of reflective green glass, and surrounded by a series of columns upon which are written legal maxims in Latin and Polish. At the back of the court are three bronze caryatids by Jerzy Juczkowicz; they have been placed in water and actually hold up part of the building. They are personifications of the three theological virtues: faith, hope and love.
